Nigeria is bleeding. In the past 2 weeks, almost 900 people have been killed in the Middle Belt region in Nigeria. More than just Plateau, Borno, and Kaduna states, it has spread to Kebbi, Benue, and intensified in Kano. And then to add insult to injury, some of the refugees from Yelwata village in Benue state, a village that was recently displaced, complained that aid that well-meaning Nigerians had collected for them had not reached them and as a result, they were living in starvation. The current confirmed number of displaced persons in Nasarawa is in the thousands. And countries in active war, have not gotten to the level of death and displacement that we currently have in Nigeria.
A reasonable person would conclude that since Tinubu and a couple more people protested hotly against insecurity on a much smaller scale during the era of Goodluck Jonathan: #OccupyNigeria, that it was simply a way to grab power, ruin the economy, and install himself. Because, that is what has been happening since Buhari, the former president, and Tinubu, the current president have been doing. On a much larger scale.

Kenya is bleeding. Protesters have clashed with police officers over brutality, and over the death in custody of a teacher, Mr. Albert Ojwang. And then at the protest, another person, who was not even a protester, was shot point blank and at close range.
I don’t even want to remind you of countries like Sudan, Syria, Democratic Republic of Congo, with storied and long standing conflicts, a lot of which are rumored to be exacerbated by forces not even in the country.
But all of this points to a far deeper issue: in cases of conflict, political instability, and displacement, certain groups are more disadvantaged. Widows and children, specifically orphans.
Now, there is no way you can stanch the flow of every single crises in the world. There are just way too many. But you can help us by contributing to our cause, and provide financial help to the widows and orphans, starting with Master Samuel and his family.
