This foundation was started to help Ms. Kelechi Nwanekwu, our founder, lift some people up from poverty, help others pay medical bills, help pay school fees, and start businesses and she has done such an amazing job so far.
However, Ms. Kelechi does have a lot of responsibilities, both personal, family- related, and business-related. That is why we need you. You, dear donor. You will help us create a sustainable foundation and in return, you will get reports to the minutest detail on how your money was spent.
Direct Program Support
- Our first order of business would be to provide additional funds for Master Samuel and his family. Nigeria is currently in a recession and hyperinflation is kicking us when we’re down, so every little bit helps.
- Also, Ms. Kelechi would like to support his mother and other family members by opening a business for his mother and supporting other children through school as well.
Also, remember that we set up outreach events? Those outreach events cost a lot and I do mean, a lot of money. The last outreach event cost Ms. Kelechi, upwards of #5,000,000 between the volunteers, the rentals, having everyone seen by the doctors, food, drinks, transportation, and logistics, and so much more. And she’s not complaining, at all. It is a pleasure for her to do all of this. But, she should not be doing it alone.
Finally, operational expenses. Apart from this blog, Ms. Kelechi has other programs running at all times. A foundation headquarters, a borehole, payment of the foundation staff, utilities, fundraising costs, transportation etc.
The foundation, however, is committed to minimizing overhead so that the majority of funds go directly to programs.
